I've seen him running around, the guy looks like he's in a bad mood all the time. I saw him one time rather unceremoniously rip down some car-wash signs. It was a fund raiser for a school, and the kids were standing right there holding their signs. I also saw him ticket some guy walking a couple of dogs, one was off-leash, but was obviously extremely well trained, it never wandered from the owners side one time. The dog catcher dude pulled up and just cited him, instead of just telling him to leash the dog. I appreciate he has a job to do, but jeeze.
Dude, if you're reading this: take a day off, you have your whole life to be a jerk.

I was having a yard sale and had a sign at the corner of my apartment's yard and he pulled it up and said it was supposed to be in front of the yard sale. I started to tell him it was in the same yard that I was holding the sale and he interrupted me and asked me if I wanted to pay a $75 fine. I see yard signs all over town, in right of ways, at hintersections, on telephone poles, etc. Many of them long expired. But I guess he was having a bad day and it made him feel good to do that. Rather rude.

Why does he tear them down the morning of the yard sale?

He does not give anyone a chance to clean them up.

I was out doing lawn work (strangely picking up litter from said signs) when he pulled up. The problem arises when the garage sale signs aren't cleaned up after a garage sale. They clutter the poles and blow into people's yards. There is a better way to advertise a yard sale.
